About the Opportunity A recognized health agency located in Queens is seeking a self-motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a promising Mental Health-focused role on their staff.
In this role, the Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides mental health assessment and treatment to patients with psychiatric symptoms, cognitive deficits, and/or behavioral problems.

Company Description Health Agency Job Description The Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (NP): Conducts psychosocial assessments of patients and develops treatment recommendations Determines whether further evaluation by collaborating psychiatrist is warranted Provides any of the following services to patients: advocacy, psycho-education, psychopharmacology, cognitive/behavioral interventions, monitoring of mental status, emotional support, brief psychotherapy, family based interventions Provides support and education to staff and caregivers to enable them to better care for patients with psychiatric, cognitive and/or behavioral problems Consults with collaborating psychiatrist as necessary to develop psychiatric evaluation and treatment plan Consults with referrer on assessment, recommendations, and update on progress of treatment Assists the health care provider in implementing the plan of care Follows a treatment plan, revising and updating as necessary Maintains productivity sufficient to meet Home Care standards Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences and clinical supervision Required Skills Master's degree in psychiatric nursing License and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State License as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of New York Ability to multitask Excellent communication skills Strong medical skills and knowledge Patient-oriented Desired Skills 1+ year of experience in a medical-surgical/psychiatric environment

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
