Nurse Practitioner - Detox

Job Description

Counseling Service of Eastern District of New York (CSEDNY) a non-profit organization that provides substance abuse treatment currently seeks an organized, efficient, and independent Nurse Practitioner who can function in a fast paced environment.


Responsibilities:



  • Conducting evaluations of substance using clients who may require withdrawal management services.

  • Management of the ancillary withdrawal program.

  • Prescribe medications and conduct clinical sessions focusing on physical health as it relates to substance use disorders and to complete all required documentation of services.

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care.

  • Must be able to collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from the health care team and formulate an appropriate nursing care plan of action.


Qualifications:


Candidates must have:



  • A Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited institution

  • National certification

  • A valid DEA number that does not expire within the next 6 months

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in Detox management


Certification in Medical Examinations is a plus but is not required. Ideal candidates will be self-directed with the ability to hit the ground running.


Must be computer savvy, able to multi-task, be comfortable with a mandated population and be an efficient team player.


Knowledge of Accumed EMR software is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.


The position will be for 20 hours per week with the strong possibility for more.


Compensation is commensurate with experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
