The Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry (JIB) was established in 1943 by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union No.

JOB DESCRIPTION Under close supervision, the Employment Associate 'B' Grade 5 will be responsible for various duties, including but not limited to the following:
Provide customer service to Local 3 members in person at the window or over the phone.
Review inquiries and make appropriate determination related to disciplinary action, workforce downsizing, termination, etc.
which will be submitted to Supervisor/Director.
Contact employers to verify the reason/nature of termination and notify the Director of Employment for further review as necessary.
Under certain circumstances, it will be necessary to follow-up on cases depending on the situation.
Accurately enter information into the system, i.

, member status, promotions, disability, and other updates.
Will be required to cover other administrative functions/desks as a backup as needed.
May perform other clerical duties and work on special projects as necessary.
Work Environment This job operates in a professional office - Customer Service Center environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop computers, phone, headset, scanners, printer, keyboard, photocopiers, shredders, and fax.
Physical Demands Sedentary work environment with physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.
This would require the ability to lift files, pull files/ forms /books, stand, bend, shred documents, open/close filing cabinets as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time onsite 35 hours per week- Non-Exempt (OPEIU Local 153) position.
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:

Must be able to work overtime when necessary.

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications Demonstrable computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
Excellent customer skills required.

Must be detail oriented and organized.
Superior attendance and punctuality.
