Job Description & Requirements General Surgery PA 1st Assist in New YorkStartDate:
ASAP Pay Rate:
$128000.

00 Opportunity Highlights First call provider?for the?General?Surgery?Service? Surgical consultations and admissions from the ED or inpatient areas, as well as follow-up on the established?General?Surgery?consult list? Assist in pre- and post-operative phase of care to include discharge planning and documentation? For those patients identified to require subspecialty (e.
g.
vascular, plastics, thoracic) surgical intervention, the case will be escalated to the supervising senior resident at night and the supervising?general?surgery?attending during the day as well as the accepting subspecialty attending.
A transfer will be requested to Milstein.
? First assist in the operating room for daytime cases Procedures Procedures may include soft tissue excisions, central line placement, include blood draw, IV placement, soft tissue debridement, drainage of abscess and other procedures within the scope of the PA training.
The presence of supervision for these procedures will be based on the experience and scope of practice of each PA.
